Global Additive Manufacturing Application Innovation competition started in 2017 and is the third edition by 2020. Under the guidance of the Ministry of industry and information technology, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Fengtai District government, the competition is sponsored by the science and technology and Information Technology Bureau of Fengtai District & the Management Committee of Fengtai Science and technology park. It is jointly organized by Beijing Fengtai Science and technology park construction and development Co., Ltd. and Digital 3D printing innovation center of Zhongguancun Science and technology park. With IN(3D) NOVATION as the theme, the competition focused on the innovative application and industrialization prospect of 3D printing in the fields of aerospace, digital orthopedic medicine and consumer goods upgrading. It was committed to bringing the value and innovation ability of 3D printing into full play and expanding into practical application. Starting from the actual needs, taking design as the guide, the competition reserved high-quality talents and stimulated creativity and practicality effective 3D printing digital (Design + material + process) integrated solutions, for the "intelligent manufacturing" power injected new momentum.
Focus on the competition categories of "aerospace", "digital orthopedics" and "upgrading of consumer goods" in 2020.
• Highlight the application of 3D printing technology in the aerospace field, and closely integrate the research and development of 3D printing technology and design optimization with the rapid development of aerospace technology;

在「2018增材制造全球创新大赛」成功举办的基础上,2019年继往开来,以IN(3D)NOVATION(即:3D打印引领应用创新)为主题,举办「2019增材制造全球创新应用大赛」,聚焦3D打印在重点领域的规模化应用和产业化前景。大赛旨在将3D打印的价值和创新能力真正发挥并放大到实际应用中,从实际的需求出发,激发富有创造力并切实有效的3D打印数字化(设计+材料+制造)综合解决方案。
此次大赛选择在航空航天、汽车设计与制造、数字化骨科、城市景观与建筑、消费品升级——鞋、博物馆文创等六大领域,以真题的方式(即从实际需求出发),向国内外科研机构、院校、设计事务所、三维数字化技术企业、初创团队及个人等征集以解决实际需求为靶向、以数字化(创成式)设计、材料应用与制造工艺的综合解决和创新能力为核心的参赛方案。通过征选的参赛方案及打印实物,将进一步整合3D打印在数字化制造上的前沿技术与材料优势,以及不受制造方式所抑制,且作为先进制造主导地位的数字化(创成式)设计的服务创新能力,通过科学严谨的验证与论证,引领各个行业深入洞悉3D打印从产品生命周期和产业链角度所带来的重要价值,在不断的实践和应用中,加速创新、融合、重塑和产业升级。
Title: Optimal Design of the Selective Laser Melted Bracket Structure
General Requirement: Optimal design and manufacture the provided bracket structure, and then test the fatigue life of the new structure. The new structure should has the characteristics of the original structure bearing the vertical tensile loads, achieving weight reduction and high fatigue life. p There are several through holes on the base and vertical plates of the original structure, which are connected with other components through bolts, bearing vertical tensile stress.

General Requirement: the competition aims to show application of 3D printing or related to the surgery and promote and realize the transformation of doctors' innovative achievements, build a solid platform for doctors' clinical practice and independent innovation, promote the cultivation and landing of technical projects, as well as the transformation of doctors or enterprises’ innovative achievements and the establishment of influence.
Title: 3D printing on Yangshi Lei model sample
General requirement: The “Consumption Upgrading -- Cultural Creative” of this competition, organized by the organizer in conjunction with the “National Treasure” IP, sends out the competition proposition with the “National Treasure -- Yangshi Lei Model Sample” as the IP to the vast number of designers, colleges, and industrial enterprises. It aims to integrate 3D digital design and 3D printing and molding technology, and create different types of 3D printing of derivative works based on Yangshi Lei model sample, including but not limited to furniture, lamps, jewelry, stationery, cups, ornaments, utensils and other creative products, so as to really experience the culture and spirit represented by Yangshi Lei in our daily life.
The evaluation is based on the entry plans. In each competition section, online preliminary evaluation of the entry plans will be conducted by jury members according to their respective initial evaluation criteria, and then the entry plan for entering the final evaluation will be selected.
This section is mainly based on 3D printed physical materials (products). According to the results of the preliminary evaluation, all of the entry plans entering the final of all competition sections will have the 3D printed physical objects displayed on the spot for ten- minute road shows. The jury composed of scientific experts, industry experts and investment experts will be able to raise questions and conduct arguments and appraise on the spot based on the performance of the 3D printed materials, test reports issued by professional evaluation agencies, and the defense of the participants. In accordance with the evaluation criteria of the final, the first, second and third prizes for each competition section, participants will be selected.
Each competition unit of "2020 additive manufacturing global innovation and application competition" is divided into first prize, second prize and third prize (for specific reward mechanism, please refer to the assignment of each competition unit)
According to the comprehensive evaluation and demonstration, Fengtai Park 3D printing digital innovation center of Zhongguancun Science and technology park will give incubation awards to some selected winning projects.
