Huang Ji Fa
Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on October 24, 1944, he now lives in Singapore and is originally from Wenchang, Hainan, China.
He is a Singaporean painter, collector, and art connoisseur.
In his early years, he worked for the Housing Development Board in Singapore. In the 1990s, he started his career as an art collector and then embarked on the arduous path of art creation. Reading a million books, Mr. Huang Isfa has traveled in Asia, Europe, America, and Australia. Mr. Huang has traveled thousands of miles to museums, art museums, and painting and calligraphy institutes all over the world; he has made friends with the best artists in China, the United States, and Europe. Tasting the essence of painting art together ...... What is particularly valuable is that Mr. Huang has made a remarkable contribution to the development of Chinese artists out of China and into the world. Mr. Huang has been praised as an ambassador of art exchange between Singapore and China.
In July 2004, his works were exhibited at the "100th Anniversary of Deng Xiaoping's Birth Exhibition" and the "Year of the Monkey and the Horse" exhibition in Beijing.
In August 2004, he held a solo exhibition at the National Art Museum of China.
In 2005, he was invited to hold a solo exhibition at The Appleton Museum of Art in Florida, USA, and the Red Wall Hotel in Beijing. 2005, he was invited to participate in the 2nd China Beijing International Art Biennial.
In 2007 and 2011, he was invited to hold solo exhibitions at The Lake Eustis Museum of Art and Eustis City Hall Gallery in Florida, USA.
Mr. Huang's works are also collected by the National Art Museum of China, Tiananmen Administration, Mao Zedong Memorial Hall Administration, Singapore Embassy in China, Chinese Cultural Institute, Abberton Museum of Art, Lick Eustis Museum of Art, and Eustis City Hall Gallery, Florida, USA.
In June 2010, St. Paul-Minnesota Lutheran Theological Seminary in the United States collected 30 of Mr. Huang Isfa's works and put them on permanent display at their college.
In 2005, Mr. Huang's ceramic works were also collected by the Jingdezhen Ceramic Museum in Jiangxi, China. His works have also been collected by collectors and institutions in the UK, USA, Australia, China, Germany, Singapore, and Brunei.
