Zhang Shuyi
Born in 1972, Zhang Shuyi is a Malaysian expatriate, professional calligrapher, painter, independent curator, researcher, advocate, and disseminator of traditional Chinese culture.
He is an independent curator, researcher, advocate, and disseminator of Chinese traditional culture. He specialized in Chinese medicine at university and later took up painting and calligraphy as his profession. His works have participated in many large exhibitions at home and abroad and have been collected by many collectors and art institutions in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Macau, China, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates. He has participated in dozens of major art exhibitions, including the "Gao Shixiong Malaysia Calligraphy Exhibition", "2018 - Spring Couplet Exhibition of 100 Famous Calligraphers in Southeast Asia", and "June Forest Breeze". --International Exhibition of Famous Calligraphers and Painters' Fan Works" ..... etc., contributing to the dissemination and promotion of Chinese calligraphy and painting art.
He is currently the honorary advisor of the Malacca Joint Committee of the International Federation of Modern Calligraphy and Painting of Malaysia, the honorary president of the Malacca Calligraphy and Arts Association, the president of the Qing Yuan Academy, and the editor-in-chief of the Nanyang Art Frontier Channel.
