Introduction:
Hold it! It’s leaking.
Hello, my name is Aimée Tabosa Guimarães and I am eleven years old. I would like to explain a little bit
about the creative process of my design. It was hard during the brainstorm because many ideas came to
my mind. My first idea was about a very famous Brazilian typical animal called capybara.
Rio de Janeiro, the city where I live, is famous because of its beautiful nature. It is a tropical city with
many beaches and waterfalls. People in Rio are not very conscious about the importance of taking care
of nature, it’s natural resources for the future of our planet and humankind. Because of it I decided to
create a design about water and the importance of doing something as fast as we can. Water is a finite
natural resource.
Using gloves full of water and sea animals, I wanted to show their perspective of us human beings and a
wake-up massage about our responsibility in this issue.
First, I planned a layout and possible written message on a paper using a pen. My first message was
good, but I believed it would cause a bad impact, so I decided to change it into a different one. My next
step was to create a mini studio to take the best picture ever from my ideas, then I chose the best
picture, tried many different typographies, and worked on photoshop in order to meet the expectation
of my main idea. For the illustration part I researched on some digital references of Brazilian sea
animals. The illustration was made on my I pad using procreate app.
My final step was to make a video to show my creation process.
I hope this design contributes for humans’ awareness of water saving for the future of our existence.
