The inspiration for this work comes from the relationship between me and my grandmother. Nowadays, it is more often children who cannot get along with their families for a long time because they need to go out to work. Especially during the COVID-19 epidemic in the past two years, they have been unable to leave their cities because of movement control orders. My family and I are one of them. Being separated from East and West Malaysia makes it impossible for us to return to our hometown during holidays and festivals, and it is an especially difficult time for the elderly in our families, who are waiting for us to return. Therefore, this poem expresses the wanderer's feeling of homesickness.
