Hello everyone, my name is Matthew Sandjaja. I am 8 years old from Indonesia. As a country that has various ethnic groups, Indonesia has various cultures. By participating in this competition, I want to introduce Indonesian culture to the world, especially wayang golek. Wayang golek is one of the traditional Sundanese puppet arts from West Java, Indonesia. These dolls are used to portray characters in traditional drama performances. Wayang golek made of soft wood. It is carved and painted with details and given a beautiful traditional costumes. In this competition, I made wayang golek out of clay and combined it with batik as the costumes.
